Those Little Devils

A couple weeks ago, a friend recommended I check out this Vegan bakery in Columbia Heights, DC called Sticky Fingers. While I planned to start Tasty Tuesdays next week, I have quite the sweet tooth and was up to the challenge of arriving before closing (it was 6pm, and the place closed at 7). Driving on 14th St., you'd miss the little shop on Park St. if you weren't looking for it. After looping the block, I decided to act VIP and hit my Blinkers in front of Giant's Loading Only Zone. Probably not a good idea as this often results in a VIP-sized ticket. I tried my luck and made my way in. On a Tuesday, it looks to be a pretty popular place. I took a few steps forward and asked the man and woman for their recommendations. While they suggested the sticky buns for first-timers, I felt I needed to try something I had never tried before. That's when I spotted the Little Devils. Yes, that's what they're called. With a hard chocolate shell layer atop a moist chocolate cake and cream sandwich, it seemed the perfect treat for my dad and I to share...

With only a couple bites, I felt as though I needed to take a break. So rich...so fresh...could this possibly be Vegan? lol. While I imagine my dad's will be gone by tomorrow morning (or he'll eat it as breakfast), I shall bite off of it for a couple days, or at least until I can get back and try the sticky buns :)

I would say it's almost as sinful as the price.
At three dollars a pop, that is my only complaint. Unless it's Tasty Tuesdays, I just don't think I can justify that. Not in this economy!

However, should you find your way to Sticky Fingers, the Little Devils are divine.

That's all for Tasty Tuesdays. When you find something delicious, share it with someone you love.

Peace.
