Wishlist Wednesdays: Fly Me to Marciac

I love sunflowers, Southern France, Radio, and 5/5 time signature. Sunflowers are my favorite flower. They look bright and sunny, like me. At least that’s how I try to look. I grew them once in my backyard, three different types. They towered over me, and I smiled as I watered them. Nothing compares to the beauty of a field of Sunflowers in Marciac, a town in Southern France. I went with my father and his high school band a couple summers before high school. Wynton Marsalis does The Marciac Jazz Festival down there in August. They love him- they have a statue of him and everything. He named one of his albums after the town, “The Marciac Suite.” One of the songs is named “Sunflowers,” which is my favorite cut off the album. It’s in 5/5, and he and his band performed it at XM’s first live broadcast ever. I was there. I have always wanted to own my own radio station. Going back to Marciac to take pictures among the sunflower fields is this week's feature for Wishlist Wednesdays.
